Boccalino Buzz

“As a food writer and cookbook author, I hate to admit that I don't always make my own salad dressing from scratch, but Boccalino Grotto's Swiss dressing is always in my refrigerator (I've even had to bring bottles home to my mom in Saskatchewan). First and foremost, this is a delicious dressing, but I also like the fact that there's no unusual ingredients or preservatives, and that it's light and pourable - a tablespoon or two is plenty to lightly dress almost any salad. We use it on tender mixed baby greens and local Hotchkiss arugula, sturdier spinach or romaine, and even drizzled over chopped or composed salads of heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers with celery, carrots, chickpeas, bacon and eggs. This is the dressing that goes on our salads every day - delicious, fresh and made by people we know right here in Alberta.”

"Thanks again for that wonderful Swiss dressing; a thing of beauty!"

"I want to extend my appreciation for your line of dressings, and in particular, the Swiss. Fabulous product. The best prepared salad dressing I have tasted. I like to make my own, but can't find the time. I recommend it often. Keep up the good work."

“The 6 year old took it to school with her lunch for days – they loved it! The four year old wanted me to jump in the car and get some more. You have a wonderful product!”

“I never used to eat salad and now I eat one everyday.”

“I use it in everything, its great for marinating meat.”

“You can’t help but wonder if it’s the fresh green salad you’re craving, or the Boccalino dressing you’re going to put on top!”

“I took a salad to work for lunch and brought a bottle of Boccalino dressing along and put them both in the staff fridge. Later in the morning I was looking after a patient in recovery who had just come out of surgery. Another nurse came in and asked if she could have some of the ‘dressing in the fridge’. The patient in recovery sat up and said, “Is that Boccalino’s dressing?”
